At the very outset Kundgol is a famous place in Dharwad
district of Karnataka where a good deal of Poets, Musicians,
Artists and Saints were born and brought up. The soil of
this land has produced national and international personalities.
Having the vision “Empower
rural children with knowledge and educate and elevate rural
children”, our committee,Group Education Committee,
was established in 1974 by men with visionary zeal emerged
under the dynamic leadership of Late Shri G S Patil. Flourished
through years, the committee is imparting education to rural
people through Primary school, High school, P U College
in Rottigawad and B.A., & B.Com., Degree college in
Kundgol.
The G S Patil Arts and Commerce
College Kundgol was established in 1986. The college has
well qualified staff, all infrastructure facilities for
academic and cultural activities, a good number of books
and magazines in the library, a computer lab for e-learning,
NSS, Scout and a well equipped sports department with gym
facility. We emphasize a healthy combination of academics,
sports, extracurricular activities and participation in
college events, providing students a holistic education.
We have provided quality education to thousands of students
and achieved an enviable track record of academic success.
We are proud of our students who have gone far and wide
and are making a difference in their chosen field.
